Join me for a free, in-person workshop introducing the NEW ACT Louisiana Alignment Guide. This resource connects ACT’s College and Career Readiness Standards with the Louisiana Student Standards to support curriculum alignment and student success.

The ACT is a crucial milestone for high school graduates, opening doors to numerous opportunities and potentially altering the trajectory of their lives. Aligning instruction and assessments to the proper standards is essential to help students succeed on the ACT and beyond. Curriculum alignment clarifies the relationship between classroom experiences and expected outcomes, creating a coherent learning pathway. This ensures students understand what is expected of them, how they will learn, and how their learning will be assessed.

Participants will explore the layout and structure of the Louisiana Alignment Guide and how it maps ACT standards to the Louisiana Student Standards. This session will include collaborative activities, curriculum reflection, and peer discussion, equipping you with strategies to improve instructional alignment and assessment literacy.

By the end of the workshops, participants will have:

  • A deeper understanding of ACT’s system of assessments and their alignment to ACT’s College and Career Readiness Standards.
  • A practical process for evaluating your school or district’s curriculum against the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards.
  • Insight into how the Louisiana Alignment Guide can inform curriculum planning and instruction.

Who should attend:
Teams of educators at the district or school level, including superintendents, supervisors, teachers, administrators, and curriculum coordinators knowledgeable about the curriculum content for English, science, math, and reading.

Please bring your laptop and have access to your school or district curriculum for hands-on activities.
