PreACT Assessments provide 8th-, 9th-, and 10th-grade students with an early measure of college and career readiness while serving as a practice opportunity for the ACT® test. Learn how implementing this test earlier in their educational journeys can help with students’ college planning, career alignment, and intervention plans. Educators will see how PreACT data can inform instructional planning and college and career planning measurements.

Attendees will:

  • See how PreACT alignment with the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards allows students and leaders to better assess areas of strengths and weaknesses for intervention and college and career readiness planning conversations.
  • Explore PreACT Assessment reports and how to best use this information to inform scheduling, curriculum planning, career aspirations, student college and career planning, and for planning of college and career school events.
  • Determine how ACT College and Career Readiness Standards are being measured.

Achievement gaps in academics have long been a concern, but the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly intensified these academic disparities. Recent studies indicate that the gaps in core subjects, including math and language arts, have widened, while the pace of recovery has slowed, further exacerbating the issue. How can educators support students in bridging these gaps? Join us as we examine the data and explore effective strategies for closing achievement gaps by leveraging essential non-academic skills in the classroom to strengthen academic growth.
